The final score in the Championship Game is:
“1 Thing” and Sejal Shah 631, “All My Friends” and Kate Carmody 587.
Holy crap, that was a crazy finish. We had a bunch of bot voting in the last hour of the game that made it so we had to spend some time weeding those bot votes out. If, like us, you were madly refreshing the live scores page, you probably noticed some craziness. With one minute left the teams appeared to be tied 712-712. Then seconds later LCD was up 840-748 with the first lead of the game, or it seemed so.
When we stripped out the bot votes (there were bot votes on BOTH sides of this game), the winner is Sejal Shah and “1 Thing”!
She will receive the official March Danceness Championship Ring and all the accolades due a March Xness winner!
Here’s a video to celebrate her victory:
What a great game Kate Carmody and Sejal Shah (and you all, except for whoever was puppetmastering the bots: boo on you) played! The essays could NOT have been better. The songs were BANGERs. The voting was furious. The contestants’ dance videos on Twitter (even the somewhat diminished Twitter) were epic!
Next up we have to score the brackets which we’ll get to as soon as possible; we’ll update you when that’s done. In the meantime, congrats to both our finalists, and especially the WINNER, Sejal Shah!
We have a few more things for you before this year’s tournament business is officially concluded, but we’re gonna take a couple days to rest up after that heartbreaker. See you soon.

Congrats! I always discover new artists or genres to love in March Xness. Sad when it's over.
